Global Adventures, One Bite at a Time
For Dr. Craig Glick, life is best lived on the move—and ideally with something delicious in hand. A radiologist with Atlantic Medical Imaging, Craig has parlayed a love of food and far-flung experiences into a lifetime of unforgettable moments, flavorful discoveries, and rich cultural connections.
Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Maryland, Craig’s curiosity about the world began early and only grew as he pursued his medical degree at the University of Rochester. His studies took him far beyond the classroom—he spent a semester abroad in Israel and studied language in Spain, exploring cultures through both education and cuisine. It was during this globe-trotting chapter that fate (and a ski trip in Austria) brought him back into the orbit of Joan, a fellow college friend who would become his wife.
Joan is a force in her own right—a deeply committed community volunteer known for her work with the Food Bank of South Jersey and many other causes. Together, Craig and Joan have built a life rooted in service, family, and exploration.
After completing his residency in Rhode Island, Craig settled at the Jersey Shore in Ventnor, where they raised their three children—Jordan, Jeremy, and Ariel. The travel gene clearly runs in the family: Ariel is now heading abroad to Vietnam with her accounting firm, continuing the global Glick tradition.
Craig was introduced to the Chaîne in the early 1990s by colleagues and quickly found his place among fellow food and wine lovers. He fondly remembers the golden age of Atlantic City’s culinary scene, shaped by the casino boom, and he’s remained an enthusiastic member ever since. His culinary travels have taken him to Grand Chapitre events in Israel and Hungary, and he looks forward to adding more stamps to his passport in the name of great wine and better company.
Whether he’s on a motorcycle trek through the Himalayas, running with the bulls in Spain alongside his sons, or savoring soup dumplings in Taiwan, Craig brings an adventurous spirit to every table he joins.
For Craig, travel isn’t just about the destination—it’s about the flavors, the stories, and the shared meals along the way.
