Member Spotlight - Juliet McDevitt

Meet Juliet McDevitt – One of the Newest Members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs!

Inducted this past May, Juliet McDevitt has already made her presence known—with high energy, sharp wit, and a deep appreciation for fine food, bold flavors, and unforgettable gatherings. She’s the kind of woman who instantly lights up a room: quick to laugh, quicker to speak her mind, and never one to hold back (unless it’s dessert—then she might sugarcoat it just a little).

Originally from Pittsgrove Township, Juliet began her college career at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she played soccer, before transferring home to Stockton University to finish her degree in social work in 2005. Her fierce sense of compassion now fuels her work as Atlantic County’s Meals on Wheels coordinator, where she helps ensure seniors receive both nourishment and a friendly face.

Juliet met her husband, Bob McDevitt, in 2010 when he was serving as president of the powerful Local 54 union. Their story is pure Atlantic City—fun, fearless, and full of character. The two were married in a Monopoly-themed wedding at the House of Blues, a nod to the city they love. They now live in Atlantic City with their son, Thomas, and their Rottweiler, Roxy. These days, Bob is making headlines of his own as a candidate for Mayor of Atlantic City, running on a promise of transparency, safety, and real leadership. Juliet has been one of his fiercest supporters, bringing the same fire and passion to his campaign that she brings to everything she touches.

It was two close friends who first introduced Juliet to the Chaîne, knowing she’d thrive in a world where conversation flows freely and the wine pours even freer. She says she’s most at home surrounded by good people, great food, and a well-made cocktail—a combination she’s found in abundance within our Bailliage.

Juliet is proudly Irish and an active member of the Women of Irish Heritage. She’s also a horror movie aficionado, a die-hard Prince fan, and a part-time snow bunny when the family escapes to their home in Vermont. But perhaps most impressive is her collection of Converse sneakers—171 pairs and counting—each one worn with unapologetic style.

Her favorite local haunts? Chef Vola, Café 2825, and Old Homestead—classic spots where she can enjoy a top-tier meal with a side of great company. And if you spot her out, she’s likely chasing it all down with a Jameson or Irish coffee and her signature laugh.

Welcome, Juliet. With you at the table, things just got a whole lot more fun.
