By donating a professional-grade set, you are equipping them with the key instruments they’ll use daily to hone their skills, build confidence, and create culinary masterpieces.

Sponsor A Young Chef's Education with A Journey to Italy - $100 increments
The Academy of Culinary Arts, in partnership with Marco Polo Study Abroad, offers students the life-changing opportunity to study in Italy. Through immersive experiences in Italian food, wine, and culture, students can broaden their world views and gain valuable professional skills. To help make this enriching experience accessible to more students, we invite you to donate to our scholarship fund. Your support will allow aspiring chefs to pursue their dreams, learn from Italian culinary experts, and build a foundation for a successful career in the culinary arts.

Event Schedule

Spain

Indulge in the vibrant flavors of Spain with Bacalao Croquettes, golden, crispy croquettes filled with salt cod and a creamy mash sauce. These savory bites are the perfect pairing for a chilled glass of cava or a crisp Albariño, bringing the fresh coastal essence of Spain to your palate. Next, savor the Tortilla Española Bites, delightful mini Spanish omelets made with tender potatoes and onions, cut into bite-sized squares that offer a comforting and authentic taste of Spain’s culinary heritage.

Segura Viudas Brut - Spain

The predominance of the Macabeo grape, which creates a balanced acidity, and the fruity characteristics.

Italy

Transport yourself to Italy with every bite of the Mini Crispy Risotto Balls, golden and filled with mozzarella and prosciutto. These rich flavors pair beautifully with a robust Italian red wine, embodying the warmth and passion of Italian cuisine. The Caprese Skewers, with juicy grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic basil, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, offer a refreshing taste of the Italian countryside. Finally, enjoy the classic comfort of  the pasta station offering Rigatoni Mezze alla Bolognese, a hearty dish bursting with the deep, rich flavors of Italy’s culinary tradition.

Torresella Pinot Grigio - Italy

Dry with bright citrus and apple flavors, framed by a crisp acidity that leads to a clean, smooth finish. On the nose there is a finesse aroma of white-fleshed stone fruits, green apples and white flowers that persists on both the nose and palate. Its popularity is driven by its flexible taste profile, including medium body and fresh un-oaked fruit flavors.

France

Celebrate French elegance with bite-sized Quiche Lorraine, filled with smoky bacon, cheese, and a custard filling that melts in your mouth. The rich, savory flavors pair exquisitely with a light French white wine. For a touch of sophistication, enjoy slices of smoked salmon atop mini blinis, crowned with crème fraîche and a sprinkle of fresh dill. The classic, rustic French Cassoulet, served from traditional earthenware, offers a hearty and flavorful reminder of the timeless French culinary arts.

Whispering Angel from France

Appearance: A beautifully pale pink, which is pleasing to the eye and draws one in.
Palate: Whispering Angel rose has fresh red berry fruit characteristics with floral notes. Ripe and fleshy feel on the palate.
Finish: This popular rose wine has great concentration, a smooth and round finish, and no astringent aftertaste.

These Argentine style empanadas are filled with spiced beef, onions, and hard-boiled eggs, offering a perfect balance of savory and spicy in each bite. The Provoleta Bites, grilled provolone cheese topped with oregano and olive oil, served on small crackers or toast, provide a rich and creamy taste of South America. The Choripan Sliders, with grilled chorizo and chimichurri sauce on crusty bread, are bursting with bold flavors that speak to the heart of Argentinean street food.

Natura Sauvignon Blanc - Chile

Bouquet: A delightfully complex nose of lime and grapefruit.
Taste: Citrus and herb notes reappear on the palate.
A fresh, bright and pleasing wine with nicely balanced acidity and good persistence.

TriVento Golden Reserve Malbec Argentina

Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec is an Argentine red wine characterized by dark fruit, oak influence, and a structured profile, highlighting the excellence of Malbec from Mendoza.

United States

Experience classic American flavors with bite-sized Maryland-style Mini Crabcakes, served with a tangy remoulade sauce that adds just the right amount of zing. The Sliders, topped with caramelized onions and cheese, deliver the perfect balance of savory and sweet in each mini burger. And for a twist on a favorite, our Deviled Eggs with crispy bacon on top provide a mouthwatering blend of creamy richness and crispy crunch that captures the essence of indulgent American comfort food.

Daou Cabernet Sauvignon CA

A rich and compelling nose of blackberry, cassis, smoky leather and dried herbs is enhanced with layers of plum and cherry, cocoa and sandalwood. Notes of pencil lead and crushed rock mingle with subtle nuances of sage and menthol. Bold and full-bodied, this wine is structured firmly around a solid core of boysenberry and cherry fruit.

Honoring Ted Lippman

Ted Lippman has been a driving force in the Atlantic City culinary and wine communities for decades, making a profound impact through his support of Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC) and its culinary program.  Through Ted Lippman’s tireless efforts, the funds raised for Atlantic Cape Community College have exceeded $150,000 to date, directly supporting scholarships and opportunities for aspiring culinary students.

As South Jersey Wine Manager for Fedway Associates, New Jersey’s premier wholesale distributor, his efforts have elevated major culinary fundraisers like the annual Restaurant Gala, where he was on the committee when it began and helped to enlist the support of sponsors, restaurants and wine professionals to help create an unforgettable experience.

As an officer and then Bailli for twenty-three years of the local chapter of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, the world’s oldest and largest food and wine society, Ted started a fundraiser event in 1996 in the kitchens of the Culinary School for student scholarships, and this event continues today.

His work has helped shape the careers of countless aspiring chefs and hospitality professionals, making him a pillar of the local food and wine community.  Honoring him with the inaugural Champion of Culinary Excellence Award not only recognizes his years of commitment but also sets the standard for future recipients who, like Lippman, have made lasting contributions to our area.

Dessert and Coffee

Conclude your culinary journey with a selection of exquisite desserts, perfectly paired with freshly brewed coffee. This sweet finale will round off the evening, leaving your taste buds both satisfied and yearning for more.
